Trusting your gut has a lot more to do with leaning on experience versus tapping into some mysterious celestial force. It is said that intuition is decision making without leaning on the conscious mind. Often times your intuition will kick-in at times when quick decisions need to be made. In most other cases we’re left pondering and wondering when to take action and questioning whether our gut will lead us to the right decisions.
If you lean on the experiences you’ve had and study the experiences others have had you can actually make very sound decisions. The key here is not what decision to make, but rather the decision to make a decision.
Remember, your gut is not full proof (or fool proof); it will fail you from time to time. If you put your heart and soul into your work, you will never go wrong even when you don’t make the right decisions… and that my friends makes all the difference in the end.
